Numerical Indications of Quantum
Stochastic Webs

First, in subsection 4.1.1, from the numerical methods discussed in chapter 3 that method that is best suited to the present study is finally identified: the algorithm using the propagator in the eigenrepresentation of the harmonic oscillator, as discussed in section 3.3. This method is then used to generate, for several initial states $\left\vert \psi_0 \right>$ and for a number of different values of the parameters $T\in{\mathcal Q}$, $\hbar$ and $V_0$, long time series of quantum states $\left\vert \psi_n \right>$. These states are analyzed in terms of patterns in quantum phase space (subsection 4.1.1) and energy growth (subsection 4.1.2).
